Graphic Design Student Organizations
Carthage has more than 130 student clubs and organizations through which students can get involved, explore possible careers, meet other students, work closely with faculty advisors, and perform customer service. See a full list of Carthage student organizations on The Harbor, our website for student organizations.
Art Club
Art Club is open to all majors and artistic abilities. Members come together once a week to create, appreciate, and learn about art in a relaxing and stress-free environment. All students are invited to attend when they can, to learn new creative skills and abilities.
Centrique
Centrique, Carthage’s student-published art and literary magazine, is published each year with a collection of writings and artworks submitted throughout the school year. Pieces are judged and awarded in a variety of areas. Centrique is currently celebrating its 40th year.
Draft Graphic Design Group
DRAFT is an active group that meets for a variety of creative projects, gives feedback, looks at the current trends in design, and plans studio tours and speakers. Each semester, they also organize an art exhibit. Examples of past shows have included the design of wrapping paper, album covers, pantone colors, and art style mash ups. Graphic Design students also have taken active roles in supporting various clubs and entities on campus, such as Centrique literary magazine, Velocity consulting, (a marketing firm on campus) Mental Health Support Club, and many other sororities and fraternities.
