Carthage has supported several composers in the creation of outstanding new works for the Wind Orchestra. Commissions for the 2021-22 year were extended to Stacy Garrop (Alpenglow), Robert Paterson (The Winds of Time), and Jennifer Higdon (Aspire). In 2024, the Wind Orchestra will celebrate 150 years with a new composition by Timothy Mahr — FORTITUDE.

  • Andre Previn — Music for Winds and Percussion (2014), a work from the renowned conductor/composer, premiered by the Eastman Wind Ensemble in October 2014. Consortium of 23 universities. Published by G. Schirmer.
