Tuesday Worship: Bring your pet to receive a blessing of the animals Oct. 8

Grab your pet or a picture of your pet to receive a blessing of the animals during worship service from 11:35 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Kissing Rock. If it’s raining, we’ll have the blessing under the overhang of A. F. Siebert Chapel.

We’ll have a golden retriever puppy and maybe Watson with us!  

Every year in early October, the church remembers St. Francis of Assisi, who lifted up the belovedness of all creatures amid his deep care for all in our broken and needy world. Thus, each year, many Christian communities offer a blessing of animals in early October.
